I've watched with great interest the phenomenon started at the Toronto Vineyard Church notable for the laughing, roaring like lions, barking like dogs, etc. Many wondered, could this be of the Lord? It didn't appear to be by any known biblical standard. Finally, years after the fact, Paul Gowdy, former Toronto Vineyard pastor, confesses that it was not of God and caused great harm. This will be a fascinating read, particularly for those who were acquainted in some way with the "Toronto Blessing."

The false doctrine of Unconditional Eternal Security has spawned several other false doctrines that are necessary to support its thesis. If one is unconditionally saved, and cannot lose one's salvation, then there must be an unconditional love of God toward such a person, no matter whether he lives wickedly or even whether he leaves the faith. More and more pulpits preach an unconditional love of God. We ask, "Is that true? What does the Bible say?" As you will see, this is another false doctrine that leads many astray, perhaps to condemnation by God.

This article was written to investigate a false doctrine -- that upon conversion all a person's sins are forgiven forever, both past sins and those that will be committed in the future. That doctrine is necessary to the false doctrine of unconditional eternal security, often called once-saved, always saved. A watershed issue for the Christian life. Is many predestined to salvation or damnation? If so, there can hardly be any personal responsibility associated with salvation. On the other hand, if God foreknows those who will be saved, but only predestines the qualification of those who will be saved, then all have the opportunity of salvation and need only meet God's requirements in order to be saved. See what Scripture says.

David goes point by point through the five points of the Calvinistic TULIP. He primarily refutes the publication, TULIP: What We Believe about the Five Points of Calvinism by John Piper. Good writing, good reading, and excellent accumulation of scriptures to prove the falsehood of Calvinism.
