The Towers Have Fallen But We Missed the Message
By David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson speaks to God's call to America for repentance from the disaster of the World Trade Center towers. He speaks as God's chosen representative calling the nation back to himself, away from pride and self-reliance. This is an important document.
Response to Terrorism (A Christian Perspective)
By Bernie Koerselman
When the World Trade Center collapsed and the United States Pentagon was attacked, the world recognized a new paradigm had begun which would have to take into account how to react to terrorism. While there is much talk about retaliation and even revenge, what should be the response of the Christian? Is it a knee-jerk reaction or should we go to our Master and seek his counsel and his commands?
May Christians Divorce? (And Remarry?)
By Bernie Koerselman
Amazingly the rate of divorce among Christians is higher than the general population and higher than agnostics and atheists in the United States. This article looks at what Jesus said about marriage and divorce and then considers possible reasons for the high divorce rate among professing Christians. Finally, it suggests the necessary actions wrongfully divorced professing Christians should take.
Are Christians Sinners Or Saints?
By Bernie Koerselman
Often we hear people say, "I'm just a sinner saved by grace." Can that be a true statement? What does Scripture say? Why is it important? The answers may surprise you.
Which Law Does the Christian Obey?
By Bernie Koerselman
This question is behind many false doctrines and cults. Paul condemned the Galatians for following teachers who tried to get them to follow Old Testament Laws. Some pastors and teachers erroneously teach obedience to commands which are not what are prescribed for the New Testament believer by Jesus. Many cults prescribe obedience to Old Testament Law. This article tells what Scripture says the true Christian is to obey.
By Bernie Koerselman
Many cults misrepresent the trinity so clearly revealed in Scripture. Brahmanism says there is but one God. Jehovah's Witnesses deny the divinity of Jesus and the trinity. What does the Bible say? This article makes clear that the trinity is true but the relationship within the Godhead may surprise.
by Dr. C. Truman Davis
A physician testifies about the crucifixion. What really happened to Jesus? How great was his suffering? What caused his death? To know the depth of his suffering is to more greatly appreciate the enormous sacrifice he made so that we could have eternal life.
By Bernie Koerselman
The great problem is that many do not seem to know which of God's law the New Testament Christian is to obey. That is the fundamental problem of the Sabbatarians -- those who claim God requires worship on the Sabbath. This article includes the view of the first and second century writers -- some of whom were taught by the apostles who had been taught by Jesus. The Sabbatarians seem to be modern-day Galatians -- those who accepted a false gospel that was so heartily condemned by the Apostle Paul. This article is the most comprehensive (on this site) on the subject of which Gospel the New Testament Christian is to obey.
By John W. Whitehead
In this booklet, John Whitehead challenges Christians to be controversial and to have a comprehensive message that speaks to all of life, not just to theological or so-called "religious" concerns. He urges Christians to engage in "cautious radicalism" and, if necessary, civil disobedience. He warns that there is no chance of resisting the enemy successfully unless Christians manifest Christian love. John calls believers to respond to God when he calls for the Christian to stand in the bloody face of history.
Christians aren't Perfect, Just Forgiven
By D. John Armstrong
In this article John describes a true and saving faith in terms of what is inextricably connected with it -- obedience and works. He describes the faith as a mainspring from which springs inevitably works and obedience. He states there cannot be a saving faith without obedience, but that the modern 20th century church is in deep error on this point. The article states a needed truth in evangelical preaching.
By Bernie Koerselman
Is God just an all-loving God who should simply be loved? Scripture says we are to fear him. What does that mean? And what is the purpose of fearing God? Is it important? These questions and more are answered from Scripture. The answers may surprise you.
America's Gold Calf Is Coming Down
By David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson writes about America's golden calf and how it is following its own idols and warns of the consequences.
How Does God Draw Men To Jesus?
By Bernie Koerselman
Jesus said no man can come to him unless the Father draw him. How does the Father do that? Charles Finney, one of the world's leading evangelists of the 19th century told how he believed God did that. If this is so, we need to consider carefully how we act as we seek to bring people to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Christ-Centered Plan of 12 Steps to Recovery
From Union Rescue Mission Men's Shelter
Instead of the Alcoholics Anonymous 12 step program, this shows the Christian way to accomplish the goal of being set free from addition and patterns of sin through faith and trust in the person and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Harry Potter Lures Kids To Witchcraft (With Praise From Christian Leaders)
By Berit Kjos

Just Wild About Harry Potter books: Wicked witchcraft?
By Julie Foster
Julie discusses the craze for the Harry Potter books. Is there a dark side, or is it purely innocent fun?
Sowing Lies Behind the Cover Of Info-Tech and Entertainment
By Tom Lamb
Though Tom's Libertarian bias shows through in this article, his insight on issues that do and will affect true Christians in the coming times is amazing. Tom makes us aware of the manipulation of actions and attitudes of the man in the street by the media.
By Joel Miller
Joel uses the example of the Church of England as a warning to the Evangelical Church in America. He shows that the church has become irrelevant, almost a subject for apology and definitely a bastion of political correctness.
A Deposit Guaranteeing Our Inheritance
By Bernie Koerselman
This article investigates whether the title phrase is really in the original Greek. Though occurring three times in the the NIV version of the Bible, neither the word deposit nor the term guaranteeing is found in the original. The author explains the true meaning of the Greek text.
By Rayola Kelley
Responding to a person who expounded to her a doctrine of grace, Rayola emphasizes the priorities of the Gospel -- the person of Jesus Christ. In her insightful way, she shows what man has constructed and in doing so has often lost the purpose and priority of the Scriptures.
Christian Holidays and Pagan Customs
By Mary Ann Collins
Most Christians know that certain Christian holidays originate in pagan customs and holidays. What should be the Christian response to such knowledge? Mary Ann gives a loving analysis that all of us can benefit from.
By David Kupelian
David incisively describes the condition of Christianity in America today. He cuts no slack for the "Christian" leaders that have caused and perpetuate the slide of Christianity into its crisis condition in America.
By Jeff Jacoby
This
article amazed me as it recounted numerous anti-Semitic incidents in
Europe. Even worse, it documents that
anti-Semitism is on the rise. It shows the degree of hatred that is being
displayed from the top of France's government hierarchy to the skinheads in the
streets.
By E. Weeks
In an insightful article, E. Weeks looks at attributes of the Pharisees and how we may be guilty of the very things Jesus condemned. A good checkup.
Christian History Of the United States Of America
This short article shows the strong Christian beginnings of America. In addition, it shows the strong continuation of Christian thought in America until finally hijacked by liberals and revisionists who have changed the history books to delete references to the Christian history of the USA.
By Fred Kosin
In this excellent article, Fred shows the centrality of the cross and how we can use the popularity of the symbol as a means of evangelism.
By Berit Kjos
Berit is becoming an expert, or already is one. This is another inciteful article that includes comments from witches that reveal truth about the Harry Potter series. This article includes some passages from the latest book. An important read!
The Resurrection of Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu
Not surprising, the well-researched story of the resurrection of Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu has been much criticized. I leave to you what you can learn and take from this story that many swear to be true. You may also find the last part of the story particularly important, as it shows God's lessons intended from this miracle. It shows a pastor who devoted himself to service to the Lord, yet would have lost his salvation over his refusal to forgive his wife -- exactly as stated in Matthew 6 and 18. This story has been updated by the author, who interviewed and video-taped his conversations with many of the participants. You'll find the updated portion at the end of the original story. You'll be blessed!
Follow-up on the Daniel Ekuchukwu Report
By David Servant
This article is a follow-up of the one that first revealed the resurrection of Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu. Many people around the world asked question. David answered them both from the facts and from Scripture.
Concerning the Resurrection of Daniel Ekechukwu
By David Servant
In this article, David recounted his second investigation of the resurrection of Daniel Ekechukwu. Using video cams and audio recording equipment, David established even more firmly the legitimacy of the claims of the resurrection.
Because the website of a discernment ministry has continued to mischaracterize the resurrection of Daniel Ekechukwu, David Servant wrote a response that examined the arguments presented against the resurrection. Sadly, we find that the claims against the resurrection were made without new facts and by using false arguments and untrue assertions. In many instances the author used Scripture improperly. This is an example of people with a preconceived theology that supercedes both what God is doing and what the Scripture says. It is a worthy read.
Why Don't We Celebrate Halloween?
By Alan Morrison
In the easy-to-read format of a dialogue, Alan reveals the history of Halloween and the many biblical reasons this holiday should not be celebrated by Christians. The dialogue permits a young, enthusiastic youth leader to raise objections while allowing the author to expose the evil, and the appearance of evil, of the Halloween celebration.
The Church in Singapore – Time to Distance from the West?
By Mr. S. Dhanabalan
This important article -- the text of a speech by the author -- speaks to a major perception of Christianity as a western institution. The author cites it as a reason many Asians reject Christianity. He sees it as an increasing impediment to the spread of the Gospel in Asia as China grows in influence. There is much worthwhile in this article.
By Dave Hunt
Dave speaks in this article about the perversion of the Gospel in our age, principally by big churches offering a compromised Gospel, which is no Gospel at all. He also takes to task versions of Scripture that are interpretations (the opinion of the author as to what the Bible means by what it says) instead of translations. A worthwhile read.
The Christian Heritage of the United States of America
Author Unknown
Revisionists have removed much of the evidence of the Christian heritage of the United States from textbooks. As a result, our children will not have an understanding of our past and our roots. This article enumerates many instances of striking Christian activities, positions, and beliefs of almost all the early founders of the United States of America.
By Mary Ann Collins
In her gentle way, Mary Ann observes many features about Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" that are contrary to evangelical Christianity and the Bible, but right in line with Catholicism. Mary Ann is a former nun who knows Catholic doctrine and is in an excellent position to recognize it and warn us about false doctrines perpetuated by the movie.
By Jeannete Haley and Rayola Kelley
Readers ask the hard questions: Why do you think you know so much when you haven't even seen the movie? The authors answers will interest you.
By Jeannette Haley
Jeannette takes a long, close look at the movie, "The Passion of the Christ," and questions the Christian leaders who have endorsed this Catholic Hollywood production.
By Rayola Kelley
Rayola's analysis points out major differences between the movie, "The Passion of the Christ," and the apparent message intended by God through Scripture. She shows this could be dangerous to one's spiritual health, that it takes a person of a discerning spirit to be able to tell whether something is from God. The points to the fruit of the movie and asks what it shows.
What's Behind "The Passion of the Christ"?
By Ed Spurlin
Ed has examined the movie from many different angles not seen before. He noted the attitude of the Christians who had seen it. He noted the movie didn't show why Jesus suffered and died as he did. He drew the analogy of how the sacrificial animals were sacrificed -- gently and with little to no pain -- and compared that to what was shown in the movie. He asks the question "Who caused Jesus to suffer as he did?" Was it God or was it God-haters? See the many other insights Ed has with respect to this movie.
The Da Vinci Code and Other Deceptions
By
Mary Ann Collins
This extremely popular book has sold millions of copies. It has a message, however, that is contrary to that of Scripture. Is it correct? Mary Ann has done a lot of work to get us accurate answers and to expose the falsity of the entire premise behind the book and others like it. If you've read the book or heard about it, this is an important article for you.
Where Is the Christ In Christmas?
By Ed Spurlin
This thoughtful article reflects on the origins of the holiday Christians revere as the birth of the Christ. Ed shows that almost all of the customs we celebrate derive from pagan beginnings, the very thing God was quick to condemn. For those who want to be aware of where our culture and churches are as opposed to the teachings of God's word, this is a worthwhile read.
CHURCH CONTROVERSY -- WOMEN IN MINISTRY
By Lorri MacGregor
This article is good news to women called to ministry. Lorri offers biblical evidence to show that women are not less than men in the Christendom of our Lord Jesus. She painstakingly goes through the difficult scriptures that appear to relegate women to silent support roles and shows they are the result of mistranslation and misinterpretation.
By David Servant
With loss of life approaching 140,000, people all over the world are wondering how God could have allowed such a tragedy to take place. David Servant answers those questions and many related questions. You'll appreciate his analysis.
by Bernie Koerselman
This article investigates how the early church spoke and wrote about Jesus as Lord. Did the first century church regard receiving Jesus as fundamental to salvation, or did it accept the notion advanced by man in the 20th and 21st century that salvation can be obtained by accepting Jesus as one's Savior? The result of the study is overwhelmingly clear. There is only evidence on one side -- that Jesus must be Lord. There is no evidence to the contrary, none to support accepting Jesus only as Savior and obtaining salvation.
by Doug Perry
Doug describes his view of "Churchianity," that form of doing church that has replaced Christianity. He points out the incredible divergence between the teachings of Jesus and the practice of many who are leading the "church" today. He writes a very personal piece that effectively conveys where he sees the church today versus where we should return.
by Henry M. Morris
Dr. Morris reviews the pagan background of the Christmas holiday, but shows a more profound possibility for the holiday, namely that it may have been around the time of our Christmas holiday that God became man, that the virgin Mary was made pregnant by the Holy Spirit. This is an excellent, easily readable article that is well worth the time.
GOD BLESS AMERICA, BUT DON'T YOU DARE TELL US TO REPENT!
by James White
James describes the condition of "religion" in America today. This is not biblical Christianity. There is little to no warning of God's wrath for our sins. We don't -- we refuse -- to preach about sin. It is not positive and affirming enough. His message is important for our time.
christian cliches that contradict christ
by David Servant
David examines false cliches that seem to be favorites these days in Christianity. Terms such as God's unconditional love, assurances that God will not love you more or less because of what you do, that there is nothing you can do to make God love you more, etc., are all FALSE. This is a worthwhile article to make sure you won't be guilty of misrepresenting our Lord by what you say to others and won't be personally mislead by false assurances.
wisdom in witnessing and points for preaching
By Jesse Morrell
This great article is written by someone who does street preaching, who has learned by experience how to get the interest of crowds in order to present the Gospel. He goes further and tells us what must be preached in order to bring his listeners to repentance. This is most worthwhile for every pastor and teacher, particularly as Jesse points out the need for parable-like stories and examples to make the message easily understood as well as to grab the listener's interest.
By Jesse Morrell
Would you like to walk along with those who do open air preaching and confront sin where they find it? This article is Jesse's personal account of a day of witnessing in Dallas in three different venues -- an abortion clinic, a mission, and finally outside night clubs.
By William Booth (Founder of the Salvation Army)
In this writing, William Booth describes the human condition, the lost striving to survive in the middle of a wild ocean storm but losing the battle, but some finding refuge on a huge rock. But then he describes the activities of those who managed to get on the rock. Some passionately sought to save those dying in the roaring waves while others seemed indifferent to those dying around them. William's conclusion is one for all of us.
By Andrew Strom
Many people have and are rebelling against the structured, institutional church. Andrew has harsh words for some of them who claim they're in the wilderness purportedly being perfected and readied by God for his purposes, but instead are on the sidelines criticizing everyone else. Good words, important call to repentance!
By David Servant
Could the Katrina Hurricane be a warning or punishment sent by God? Lots of people are asking that question right now. Some claim vociferously that a hurricane is simply an act of nature and it is going way too far to claim it could be an act of punishment by God. David brings the Scripture to bear on this subject. I think you'll find the article informative, interesting, and thought-provoking.
By Jim Searcy
In an excellent review of disasters striking America that coincide with America's pressure on Israel to give up covenant land, Jim calls attention to the role of Hurricane Katrina and the timing and parallels between the devastation and refugees resulting from the Hurricane and the refugees in Israel resulting from the withdrawl from Gaza.
A FAITH REVOLUTION is REDEFINING CHURCH
The Barna Group
Would it be good to be a revolutionary? After you read this article, you may think it is indeed not only good, but perhaps the only way to be a Christian who lives out the Christian life. According to George Barna, there are significant and growing numbers of Christians (he estimates 20 million) who are dissatisfied with the lukewarm experience of the local church and are seeking to become the Church (capital C) of the book of Acts. These people are usually leaving the local church to find a deeper, more significant walk with the Lord. Barna believes this may be the new, perhaps most significant, revival experienced in the church in the next twenty years.
by Andrew Strom
The article above speaks of a faith revolution with many "revolutionaries" seeking the original New Testament Church. Andrew Strom examines what such a church would look like, what it would do, where it would be, and what example it would set. Which kind of "church" do you want?
RADICAL CHINESE HOUSE CHURCHES
By Denny Kenaston
This article is enough to put all of us in America to shame. It contrasts the Chinese House Church with western Christianity. The comparison is sad -- for western Christianity. On the other hand, to see how the Chinese House Churches follow the Lord Jesus is encouraging and exhilarating.
THERE'S A SHEEP BORN EVERY SECOND
By David Servant, Ph.D. (Purchased Honorary Doctorate)
As his tongue-in-cheek "title" (above) shows, David tells how many, perhaps most, Christians blindly follow others that they revere as their pastors, apostles, etc. Instead of first following the Great Shepherd and knowing him well, they spend time and energy following men. This short, but important, article is thoughtful, well-written, and interesting. We highly recommend it.
C. S. Lewis -- Trouble in Narnia
By mary Ann Collins
C. S. Lewis is revered by many as a great Christian writer. His writings are often called Christian allegories. But was there a dark side to Lewis? Mary Ann Collins shows, from Lewis's on writings, that he seemed addicted to the occult. Evidence is found in many books. You judge!
CAN THE CHURCH AWAKEN FROM HER PERSISTENT VEGATATIVE STATE?
By Coach Dave Daubenmire
The coach begins his article by remembering the starvation death of Terri Schiavo in which a nation watched a woman die a death mandated by the courts of the United States. The coach examines our nation in light of such an event and our spiritual condition. You'll be blessed by his insights.
By Mary Ann Collins
Again Mary Ann reviews the Harry Potter craze against Scripture. Is this appropriate material for our children to read?
christians misled on climate change
By The Berean Call
Many were surprised that various Evangelical Christian leaders had created a communication regarding the "global warming" issue. Why, we might ask, would they venture into this controversial area well outside their realm of expertise? This issue is discussed wisely and presented well. You'll appreciate the update and thinking.
THE BIG QUESTION REGARDING THE dA vINCI cODE: dO WE pROTEST, bOYCOTT, OR eNGAGE?
By Phil Cooke
Phil is an expert on this subject, acting as an advisor to major ministries. He recites what he thinks are the wrong ways in which the church has been engaging on these issues in the past -- that haven't worked. He proposes a different way. It is a short article with a worthwhile message.
DECADE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: THE INDOCTRINATION OF CHILDREN
By Laura Adelmann
What is sustainable development? It sounds good. Is it instead what Laura thinks -- a complete transformation of our children through indoctrination? Is it a wholly new, unbiblical way of thinkiing? It is worth the read and considering what is happening where you are, to the children you know are in school.
By Mary Ann Collins
Mary Ann advises that anyone who doesn't have a compelling reason to read the Da Vinci Code not do so. She says there are many things the "Christian" who is not well-grounded will have trouble with. She warns only the mature Christian who has a need to know should bother to see this movie or read the book.
By Barbara Nicolosi
Many Christians see The Da Vinci Code as an opportunity for evangelism; others say it's a chance to engage the culture. Rubbish. Da Vinci is dangerous, so I'd like to suggest a better alternative.
IS THERE A NEW "EVANGELICALISM"?
By Jan Markell
Jan reviews in this short article what it meant to be an Evangelical Christian years ago and how it has slowly changed, with people leaning far left being labeled Evangelicals. She wonders if the labels apply any longer. It is a worthy and educational read.
MEGACHURCH ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
By Frank Chase
This article is written tongue in cheek, while seriously examining the Megachurch phenomena. Is this a solid biblical phenomena or something quite different. Frank shows a lot of insight in his discussion. I think you'll be blessed.
sILVER AND GOLD HAVE i QUITE A LARGE SUM
By David Servant
David compares the teachings of Scripture with respect to money with the actions, life-styles, and salaries of many leading "Christian" ministries. The article is sickening in what it reveals. Its warning is clear, but should not apply only to those ministry leaders obviously violating the teachings of Scripture, but to all of us. This is an important read.
By Jim Searcy
There's no mistaking Jim's message. He states clearly there is no such thing as a Christian homosexual, that the terms are mutually exclusive. He has many important insights to share with you -- an important read.
THE ENNOBLEMENT OF A SECULAR VOCATION
By David Servant
David explains to those not in full-time Christian service that their vocation is also to be dedicated to God. Each day they are to do the best they can at it as if they are serving the Lord Jesus. They are the ones on whom other ministries rely. They provide the funds to make other ministries possible. David's point is that everything we do is to be done as unto the Lord Jesus, whether we are in full-time Christian service or a secular vocation.
James O. Frazier -- Travailing Prayer
By David Smithers
What a difference prayer can make! James O. Frazier found out as he worked among a remote tribe in China. He had to rely entirely on God and prayed fervently in travailing prayer. God answered in mighty ways. It is an inspiring account that should transform our prayer lives.
all hindrances to revival are due to sin
By Jonathan Goforth
What a privilege to hear godly men agonize over the best way to serve the Lord, to seek his will, and to be obedient to his teachings. Jonathan was part of great revivals in China. He was a multi-talented man who chose to serve the Lord as a missionary to a remote tribe in China.
By Dave Hunt
Dave manages to document many deviant attitudes, beliefs, and practices in the present church that are contrary to the Word of God, largely by the church leadership itself. Is it any wonder we need to repent?
2007: The Year the Elijah Revolution Begins
By Johnny Enlow
Several times I've heard people say that 2007 will be the last good year or that it will be the beginning of bad times for America. Johnny Enlow reinforces that possibility in his most unusual article that relates back to Israel. This is a fascinating read, a very possible scenario, with alternative outcomes Johnny describes. He lays out his belief about what will affect America's future and why.
The Most Important scriptures are red
By Bernie Koerselman
Bernie shares with us the many scriptures that emphasize the words of the Lord Jesus. These scriptures, and Jesus himself, shows the priority to be given his words, ending with the Great Commission in which we are to teach new disciples to obey everything Jesus commanded.
Author Unknown
This is the report of a vision that was simultaneously given to seven young people in Columbia during a prayer meeting at a time when they were all very new Christians. They all saw and heard the same things at the same time. In their simultaneous vision, they were taken to hell and heaven. Their descriptions of what they saw in hell are terrifying. And their account of what they saw in heaven is inspiring. Judge for yourself if the vision is genuine. David Servant wrote the introduction. He's judged it to be genuine, in part, because of its emphasis on holiness.
David Servant
After sending out "An Incredible Vision" to his mailing list, David received many comments from the recipients. Most were very positive, recounting a renewal in their life with God and almost always a new, wholesome fear of God. Some objected on one ground after another. In this article, David recounts the objection, then shows what Scripture has to say on the subject. In each case, Scripture supports the doctrines displayed in "An Incredible Vision," even though usual theological understandings may be quite different. This is another powerful writing by David Servant, author of many important books.
