Is the Believer Eternally Secure?
by Bernie Koerselman
This is a careful examination of the popular doctrine of unconditional eternal security (UES) with proofs of its falsity developed from many different approaches. Many who have reviewed this article have come to recognize the invidious evil associated with the doctrine.
by Carl Giordano
Those who oppose the doctrine of eternal security are most concerned about the influence the doctrine has in the lives of those who claim it as a fundamental tenet of their faith. Carl Giordano tells the story of what happened when preaching at Texas Tech. It is a story you won't quickly forget.
Dan and Cheryl Corner
An outstanding internet site with many articles which expose in great detail the falsity of the doctrine of eternal security. Dan and Cheryl Corner have devoted much of their lives to combating this evil doctrine. Just click http://come.to/the.gospel
Foreknowledge: Jacob and Essau
by
Bernie Koerselman
In Romans 9, Paul discusses Essau and Jacob in a passage many have taken to endorse the predestination doctrine advanced by Calvinists. By using Scripture to explain Scripture, it is demonstrated that it is not predestination but God's foreknowledge which permits him to know in advance whether a given person will be saved or damned.
The Doctrine Of Predestination
by Bernie Koerselman
Does the doctrine of predestination naturally follow from the fact that God is sovereign? The author shows that because God is sovereign he can accomplish his purposes the way he wishes and ordains. He is not bound to the doctrines established by Calvinists. With overwhelming evidence from Scripture, the author establishes that our God desires that all should come to repentance and be saved. He has not limited salvation to those predestined to be saved as the false Calvinist doctrine of predestination would have us believe.
Letter
Opposing the Ecumenical Accord:
Evangelicals & Catholics
Together: The Christian Mission in the
Third Millennium1
by Bernie Koerselman
This is a letter to Chuck Colson, one of the authors of "Evangelicals & Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the Third Millennium," an agreement drafted by Chuck Colson and others and later signed by certain Protestant and Roman Catholic leaders. The Agreement purports to establish unity between Protestants and Catholics with the agreement that they will not seek to proselytize members of the other group. Bernie Koerselman's letter establishes from Scripture and history that the Roman Catholic Church -- the institution -- is evil and demonic, the greatest cult of our time. He exposes its beginnings as the Babylonia Sect became part of the early church at Rome which transformed it into its present unbiblical form. The doctrines of Mariology, Purgatory, and the Mass are shown to be both extra-biblical and contrary to Scripture.
By Bernie Koerselman
The famous passage, "For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate to do" is examined to see whether this was pre-Christ Saul or the Apostle Paul unable to live out the Christian life. The proofs when examined in context may surprise you.
Fraud and Deceit in
the Presentation of
By Bernie Koerselman
Would anyone really present the gospel in a fraudulent manner? Yes, sadly. This article tells of the widespread misrepresentation of the gospel in our churches. In fact, you will likely find the gospel misrepresented far more often than presented honestly and correctly. Have we gathered around us preachers and teachers to tell our itching ears what we wish to hear?
Deceit in the Presentation of the Gospel
By Bernie Koerselman
Can the truth of the Gospel be described single-dimmensionally as simply "believe in him"? This article shows the multi-faceted nature of the Gospel -- with multiple qualifications (requirements) in Scripture which must all be satisfied in order to gain eternal life. This article shows the narrow gate to be much narrower then perceived and presented by many in the church today.
By Bernie Koerselman
The great problem is that many do not seem to know which of God's law the New Testament Christian is to obey. That is the fundamental problem of the Sabbatarians -- those who claim God requires worship on the Sabbath. The article includes the view of the first and second century writers -- some of whom were taught by the apostles who had been taught by Jesus. The Sabbatarians seem to be modern-day Galatians -- those who accepted a false gospel that was so heartily condemned by the Apostle Paul.
By Connie Giordano
Using Kevin Conner's book The Kingdom Cult of Self as a starting point, Connie reviews this false doctrine, perpetuated by such as Norman Vincent Peale in The Power of Positive Thinking and Robert Schuller in Self-Esteem: The New Reformation. As one reviews the quotes in the article, the falsity of the doctrine is laid bare. This is not only not Christian, it is anti-Christian.
The Gospel According To Charles Stanley
By Dan Corner
Dan's article shows how unbiblical many of the teachings of revered Bible teacher Charles Stanley are. A man who is on television around the world, on numerous radio programs, and has authored books and tapes which can be found everywhere, he is also a man who is spreading heresy throughout the world and is virtually unchallenged in his theology. Charles Stanley is one of the foremost advocates of the false doctrine Unconditional Eternal Security. Quotes in this article show how extreme his position really is. It is an eye opener. What a Sovereign Lord Cannot Do
By Dave Hunt
Dave Hunt shows that God's sovereignty is not compromised by allowing man a free will. He confronts and disproves the Calvinist's notion that if God is sovereign he must necessarily foreordain everything that will happen.
The Five Points of Calvinism Considered
By David Servant
David goes point by point through the five points of the Calvinistic TULIP. He primarily refutes the publication, TULIP: What We Believe about the Five Points of Calvinism by John Piper. Good writing, good reading, and excellent accumulation of scriptures to prove the falsehood of Calvinism.
Foreknowledge Or Predestination
By Bernie Koerselman
A watershed issue for the Christian life. Is many predestined to salvation or damnation? If so, there can hardly be any personal responsibility associated with salvation. On the other hand, if God foreknows those who will be saved, but only predestines the qualification of those who will be saved, then all have the opportunity of salvation and need only meet God's requirements in order to be saved. See what Scripture says.
By Dave Hunt
Dave Hunt, in his usual fashion of marshalling facts and presenting them in a compelling way, tells why the Muslims are NOT peace-loving as has been presented in the world media following the World Trade Center disaster.
By Bernie Koerselman
Bernie speaks to the same subject as Dave Hunt, but in a different way. He relates why the Muslim acts as he does, how he can commit atrocities in which he is killed, which explains why Muslims are primarily the ones committing such terrorist acts throughout the world.
Words From a Second Century Christian
From
First Apology of Justin Martyr
Justin Martyr shares what the early church believed about predestination. Even in those days there were those who misunderstood scripture. And in the early church, Satan desperately tried to pervert the word of God so that succeeding generations would not know the pure milk of the word.
John Calvin's View Of Reprobation
By Robert Shank
Robert Shank reveals the fundamental erroneous assumption that led Calvin down a wrong path which caused his entire system of theology to be seriously flawed.
By Bernie Koerselman
Though Scripture is replete with many descriptions of sins that will deny salvation to those committing them, men have concocted doctrines that attempt to circumvent and make worthless the warnings of Scripture.
By J. Mark Martin
A comprehensive article dealing with many different issues of Seventh Day Adventism which shows the falsity of the teachings of Ellen G. White and how the SDA doctrines do not conform to Scripture.
A Deposit Guaranteeing Our Inheritance
By Bernie Koerselman
This article investigates whether the title phrase is really in the original Greek. Though occurring three times in the the NIV version of the Bible, neither the word deposit nor the term guaranteeing is found in the original. The author explains the true meaning of the Greek text.
by dale Ratzlaff
This article is particularly helpful because the author has gone directly to the life of Jesus to make his point. He shows that the Lord Jesus did NOT observe the rules and regulations of the Sabbath. Excellent!
WHICH LAW DOES THE cHRISTIAN OBEY?
By Bernie Koerselman
This question is behind many false doctrines and cults. Paul condemned the Galatians for following teachers who tried to get them to follow Old Testament Laws. Some pastors and teachers erroneously teach obedience to commands which are not what are prescribed for the New Testament believer by Jesus. Many cults prescribe obedience to Old Testament Law. This article tells what Scripture says the true Christian is to obey.
Proofs Of Conditional Salvation
By Bernie Koerselman
This is a comprehensive article that deals with many issues associated with the false doctrine of once saved, always saved. This article can give you many of the proofs you need to discuss this issue intelligently with others. The author, an attorney, proves beyond a reasonable doubt the falsity of the doctrine of unconditional eternal security.
When Are Christians Finally Saved?
By Bernie Koerselman
This article deals with a watershed issue that pertains to the fundamental basis for the false doctrine of unconditional eternal security (UES). If UES were true, salvation would be obtained, never to be lost, at the time of conversion. This article shows that premise to be false. Over and over again, the theme of Scripture is to persevere in the faith, to test oneself to see if one is (still) in the faith, and to continue to be obedient to the will of God, as only those who do the will of God will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
By Bernie Koerselman
This article was written to investigate a false doctrine -- that upon conversion all a person's sins are forgiven forever, both past sins and those that will be committed in the future. That doctrine is necessary to the false doctrine of unconditional eternal security, often called once-saved, always saved. It should be no surprise that there is no support for this false doctrine in Scripture, but much support for the understanding that Christians are to confess their sins whenever they sin and upon sincere repentance their past sins will be forgiven.
By Bernie Koerselman
The false doctrine of Unconditional Eternal Security has spawned several other false doctrines that are necessary to support its thesis. If one is unconditionally saved, and cannot lose one's salvation, then there must be an unconditional love of God toward such a person, no matter whether he lives wickedly or even whether he leaves the faith. More and more pulpits preach an unconditional love of God. We ask, "Is that true? What does the Bible say?" As you will see, this is another false doctrine that leads many astray, perhaps to condemnation by God.
By David Servant
Who are the hate mongers? Are they preachers who preach against sin, demand repentance and call for righteousness? Or are they the preachers who deceive their parishioners by emphasizing how much God loves them without ever revealing God's righteousness and holiness that cause him to hate the person who sins. David explains well who hates the people in the pew.
THE EMERGING CHURCH: ANOTHER ROAD TO ROME
By Roger Oakland
Mr. Oakland does us a favor by defining the Emerging/Emergent Church. You may not yet have heard about it, but it seems to be infiltrating the old faithful bastions of the Lord's church and transforming them into mystical, liberal churches. Roger focuses on what is happening within such churches that is drawing them ever closer to Rome.
